Who I am

Outrun (outrun.ai) is the AI consultancy of Richard Barlow, based in Manchester, United Kingdom. I am the data controller for personal data collected through this site. Contact: richard@outrun.ai.

What I collect and why

Enquiries. If you use the enquiry form, it opens an email in your own email client addressed to me; nothing is stored on this website. If you email me directly, I hold your name, company, email address and whatever you write, and I use it to respond to you and, if we work together, to deliver the engagement. The lawful basis is legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries, and contract where an engagement follows.

Bookings. Discovery calls are booked through Calendly, which collects your name, email address and selected time under its own privacy notice.

Fonts. This site loads typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser sends a request, including your IP address, to Google when the page loads. No other third-party services run on this site.

What I do not do

This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and no advertising trackers. I do not sell or share your data, and I do not add you to any mailing list without asking first.

Retention

Enquiry correspondence is kept for as long as needed to handle the enquiry and any engagement that follows, then for up to six years afterwards where records are needed for legal, accounting or tax purposes.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of the personal data I hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, object to or restrict its processing, and ask for it in a portable format. Email richard@outrun.ai and I will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how I handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

This notice will be updated if the site starts using analytics or any other service that touches personal data.
